Wacky Wine Weekend 2018

Perhaps the best event on the South African wine calendar, the Wacky Wine Weekend is almost upon us once again! From fine wine and food to fitness, Robertson Winery has an incredible selection of activities on offer.

From Friday morning to Sunday afternoon of the Wacky Wine Weekend there is no better place to be in the Robertson Valley than the Robertson Winery food and wine tent. We’ve got tasting and sales available for all the Robertson Winery wines so you can sample some of South Africa’s best. When hunger strikes – and it will – we’ve got you covered with a fantastic assortment of delicious food. Kick back and relax into the weekend, while we keep you entertained.

Adrenaline junkie? Feel you need to earn yourself a glass of wine and a big lunch? Then maybe the hugely popular Robertson Winery Mountain Bike Challenge is the thing for you. Attracted by both the stunning scenery and the challenging trails, earlier this year the Absa Cape Epic mountain bike race passed through the Robertson Valley, but do not worry, you do not have to be a pro to take part. From 11km to 29km, 54km and 71km, the 12th edition of our Wacky Wine MTB offer riders the choice of four exciting routes (aimed at all skill levels from beginners to hardened pro). Starting and finishing at Robertson Winery Voortrekker Road facilities, there will be cash prizes for the winners of the 70km race. However, no matter how you do each participant will receive a Robertson Winery MTB medal as well as a bottle of Robertson Winery wine or Robertson Winery Non-Alcoholic wine to take home. There will also be a lucky draw taking place after the race. Visit to enter online.
